The route to the playground area

• There are no accessible parking spaces near the playground. The nearest parking area is within 10 metres.
• The pick-up and drop-off area is located under 5 meters from the playground gate.
• A smooth and sufficiently wide asphalted route leads to the playground gate. The route is illuminated.

Playground area

• This is a well-equipped playground (78% of the special level criteria are met).
• The playground is surrounded by a metal fence. Inside the fence there are asphalt-surfaced walkways. The entire play area is illuminated.
• The playground has an information board difficult to perceive.
• The playground has tables and benches with free space at the end for a wheelchair or stroller.
• The playground has swings, a slide, a sandbox, a canopy, a climbing frame, a ball wall, a wading pool.
• The swings: The swings are situated at the edge of the areaThere is a metal fence around the swing area. A wet pour rubber safety surface has been installed under the swings. The play area also has a safety swing for a small child.
• The slide: There is space for a wheelchair around the slide and a bench for an adult nearby. A wet pour rubber safety surface has been installed under the slide. The slide can be accessed via the stairs, a ladder.
• The sandbox: The edge of the sandbox is high enough off the ground to make the sandbox wheelchair accessible. The sandbox features a plank that children can use to reach the sand when lying down on their stomachs. There is a bench for an adult nearby.
• The canopy: The entrance to the canopy is not wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. There are tables and benches under the canopy which are wheelchair accessible. Some of the tables have been designed for children's dimensions.
• The climbing frame: Safety sand has been installed under the climbing frame. There is a bench for an adult nearby.
• The ball wall: The ball wall has baskets. The surface in front is lined with artificial turf. There is a bench for an adult nearby.
• The raised edge of the wading pool makes it wheelchair accessible, however the edge is uncomfortably low. The bottom of the wading pool is smooth. There is a bench for an adult nearby.

Playground building

• The entrance of the playground building stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
• In connection with the entrance, there is 1 step.
• The entrance has a ramp under 6 meters long, with handrails on both sides.
• The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens easily manually.
• The activities take place on the entrance floor.
• The doors in the facility stand out clearly. The glass doors have contrast markings.
• The facility has an accessible toilet.
