Answer a survey on violence in close relationships

We are conducting a survey on the experiences of violence in close relationships among Helsinki residents aged 18 and over. You can respond to the survey anonymously until 9 October 2026. Every response helps us develop services and strengthen support for all those affected by violence and their loved ones.

Health care

We provide our residents with health station services, dental care, mental health and substance abuse services, as well as various rehabilitation and therapy services, such as physiotherapy and occupational therapy.

Our hospitals treat patients with cerebrovascular accidents, patients who have undergone surgery and geriatric patients. Our outpatient clinics focus on geriatrics, internal medicine, palliative care, psychiatry and substance abuse treatment.

Student health care services are primarily available through educational institutions. We offer services for sexual health matters, provide support for mental health issues and perform conscription health examinations.

Health stations
Your local health station is your primary source of treatment for all of your health issues, whether sudden or long-term.
Dental care
We provide dental and oral health care services at 27 dental clinics across the city.
Mental health services
Our low-threshold services are available to all Helsinki residents. We also provide psychiatric specialist health care.
Substance abuse services
You can contact our low-threshold substance abuse services without a referral.
Hospitals and outpatient clinics
Helsinki City Hospital has locations operating in Laakso, Malmi and Suursuo. You will be forwarded to the old website.
Rehabilitation and therapies
Rehabilitation is provided to maintain and improve the patient’s ability to function.
Student health care
Student health care is provided to vocational and upper secondary school students.
Urgent and emergency care
If you have an urgent need for social welfare or health care services, you can contact the emergency services.
Vaccinations
Both free and paid vaccinations are available at the health station. Please remember to book an appointment in advance.
