Set off on an excursion in an archipelago rowing boat, or try out a Baltic Sea rowboat or a cleaning kayak designed for cleaning up the sea. All boats are equipped with oars and life jackets. The boats are in service from June until the end of August.
Combine exercise with marine conservation on a Baltic Sea rowboat
You can use a Baltic Sea rowboat free of charge. The boats are moored in Lauttasaari, Mustikkamaa, Hietaniemi and Töölönlahti. On Baltic Sea rowboats, you can try your hand at magnet fishing, which involves retrieving scrap metal and other sunken rubbish from the seabed.
You can also hire a kayak equipped with cleaning tongs from Hietaniemi, Mustikkamaa and Lauttasaari.

Set off on an archipelago rowing boat to the East Helsinki archipelago
You can hire an archipelago rowing boat for a small fee from Vuosaari Paddling Center and from Aurinkolahti beach in Vuosaari. You can use the boats to go on a picnic or fishing trip to the islands in East Helsinki, or you can visit the archipelago saunas run by the UUVI / Helsinki-Uusimaa Outdoors association, to name a few activities.
The service is provided in collaboration with the nature tourism company Natura Viva. You can hire an archipelago rowing boat for a one-off fee or with a season ticket. You can find prices and further details about rowboat hire on the Natura Viva website.

We are adding more city rowing boats
The city rowing boats were realised through the OmaStadi participatory budgeting initiative based on ideas put forward by local residents. There are plans to expand the service in the summer of 2027, and suggestions for boat moorings have already been collected from local residents.
