The Open doors for work (ESF+) project is working with pilot employers to find and develop ways to make recruitment smoother.
As an employer, you can get free help for hiring and onboarding a foreign-language employee and for facilitating everyday operations at the workplace. The service is particularly helpful if you find recruitment to be time-consuming, require additional resources for inductions or need to clarify communications in your work community.
- Find a suitable employee quickly and reduce your daily workload. We help employers to find suitable candidates quickly, reducing the time spent on recruitment and making your everyday operations smoother. The service is free of charge for the employer.
- Make employee onboarding clearer and more efficient. We support you in planning and implementing the onboarding of new employees. We make instructions easier to understand and clarify work tasks so that your new employee can get to work smoothly and stay on the job. This reduces your employee turnover and the time spent on onboarding, making your everyday operations smoother.
- Workplace support for foreign-language employees. We offer job coaching for jobseekers and support for workplace communication. We use easy-to-understand templates, support Finnish-language learning at the workplace and help with job design. Our aim is for both the employer and employee to succeed.

The Helsinki Benefit is a discretionary financial subsidy provided by the City of Helsinki to private-sector and third-sector employers that hire an unemployed resident of Helsinki.
The City of Helsinki Employment Services may grant an employment subsidy to employers towards the wage costs of hiring an unemployed jobseeker aged 55 or over.
