Answer a survey on violence in close relationships

We are conducting a survey on the experiences of violence in close relationships among Helsinki residents aged 18 and over. You can respond to the survey anonymously until 9 October 2026. Every response helps us develop services and strengthen support for all those affected by violence and their loved ones.

Health services

Health station
The health station is your primary source of treatment for all your health issues, whether sudden or long-term. A team of highly trained medical professionals will do their best to provide you with the care and treatment you need.
Dental clinic
Book an appointment at a dental clinic if you suffer from a toothache or have had an accident that damaged your teeth. You can help maintain good oral health with regular dental check-ups and cleanings.
Physiotherapy
Our physiotherapists can help you with issues related to your physical functional ability.
Occupational therapy
Our occupational therapists can help you when you need support in coping with everyday tasks.

Mental health and substance abuse services

Mental Health Service Unit Mieppi
You can contact Mieppi to discuss your life situation or mental health concerns. You do not need a referral.
Psychiatric outpatient clinic
We provide advice, psychiatric examinations, treatment and rehabilitation. You need a referral to become a client.
Substance abuse outpatient clinic
The substance abuse outpatient clinic can help you deal with addiction issues.

Social services

Social welfare counselling
Social welfare counselling allows you to discuss your life situation with a professional. We will map out your situation and refer you to the necessary services.
Social work and social guidance services
We can help you if you are faced with a challenging situation in life and offer you support in times of change.
Housing consultation
You can ask our housing counsellors for advice on matters related to housing.
Social work and social guidance for persons with disabilities
We support people with disabilities in their daily life, promote their independence and reduce any constraints or obstacles caused by the disability.
Special Services for Immigrants
We cater to immigrants, refugees, undocumented migrants and victims of human trafficking by offering services to facilitate your integration.

The route to the main entrance

  • The pick-up and drop-off area is located in the vicinity of the entrance, giving easy access to the pavement.
  • The route to the entrance is guided, smooth and sufficiently wide and illuminated and it uses movement-guiding surface material.

The main entrance

  • The entrance stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
  • The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with a motion sensor.

In the facility

  • The customer service point is on the entrance floor.
  • The customer service point has directions to the different facilities and uses movement-guiding surface material.
  • The doors in the customer service point stand out clearly. The glass doors have contrast markings.
  • The waiting room of the customer service point has a queue number system and seats.
  • The customer service point has a portable induction loop.
  • The customer service point has a toilet marked as accessible on floor 1. The toilet seat lacks arm supports on one or both sides.

Your primary health station is the health station in your residential area. However, you are always free to change your health station within Helsinki or choose it from another municipality if you wish.
