We are conducting a survey on the experiences of violence in close relationships among Helsinki residents aged 18 and over. You can respond to the survey anonymously until 9 October 2026. Every response helps us develop services and strengthen support for all those affected by violence and their loved ones.

Seeking 24-hour care and communal housing from outside the customer's home municipality

You can apply for 24-hour care or communal housing both in your home municipality and in other municipalities.

You can also apply for family care, inpatient care or housing services outside your municipality of residence. You are on an equal footing with other applicants.

Apply for the service with the form Hakemus palvelun saamiseksi (hakijan kunta muu kuin Helsinki) ("Application for receiving services (applicant's home municipality other than Helsinki)").

You can also submit an application by secure email, which uses strong identification.

If you have submitted a similar application to another municipality and it is still being processed, Helsinki will not process your new application. However, you may have an application pending in your municipality of residence at the same time.
