Answer a survey on violence in close relationships

We are conducting a survey on the experiences of violence in close relationships among Helsinki residents aged 18 and over. You can respond to the survey anonymously until 9 October 2026. Every response helps us develop services and strengthen support for all those affected by violence and their loved ones.

Housing and care at senior centres

At senior centres and service homes, we provide housing and care tailored to your needs. You can receive a personalised package of services and care as part of communal housing or comprehensive 24-hour care in a service home or group home.

Communal housing
Communal housing might suit you if you do not yet need 24-hour care, but you are no longer able to live in your home with the help of home delivery services or the support of your loved ones.
24-hour care
In service housing, you live in a homelike environment and receive 24-hour care in an apartment or group home within a senior centre or service home.
Assessment and rehabilitation period
We support your rehabilitation and assess any follow-up care you may need, such as after hospitalisation or when additional support is necessary to manage at home.
Short-term 24-hour care
We provide short-term care, for example, during family caregivers' statutory leave.

Service centres
A service centre is an open meeting place for pensioners and the unemployed. We offer service guidance, peer support, and meaningful activities. All our centres feature a gym and a lunch restaurant.

Applying for 24-hour care
If you wish to apply for residential services with 24-hour care, you need a service needs assessment for the elderly. To begin the process, contact Senior Info or your designated worker.
Home care
In home care, we assist seniors in living independently at home. You can receive home care if your functional capacity has significantly declined and you are unable to manage daily activities on your own.
