We are conducting a survey on the experiences of violence in close relationships among Helsinki residents aged 18 and over. You can respond to the survey anonymously until 9 October 2026. Every response helps us develop services and strengthen support for all those affected by violence and their loved ones.

Temporary housing provides short-term accommodation with the aim of helping individuals find a more permanent housing solution.

Temporary housing is intended for situations where urgent short-term accommodation is needed. It is designed for individuals who do not have their own apartment and cannot stay temporarily with relatives or friends. 

Throughout the temporary housing period, our team will assist you in finding a suitable long-term housing solution. This may involve locating a suitable rental apartment or a supported housing facility. 

Clients of the Hietaniemenkatu Service Centre can apply for temporary housing through the service centre. Adult social work clients can apply for it through their designated adult social worker.

Clients of the Hietaniemenkatu Service Centre can apply for temporary housing by contacting the social instructors at the service centre.
Applying for temporary housing through adult social work
Clients of adult social work can apply for temporary housing by meeting with a social worker or social instructor from adult social work.
