We are conducting a survey on the experiences of violence in close relationships among Helsinki residents aged 18 and over. You can respond to the survey anonymously until 9 October 2026. Every response helps us develop services and strengthen support for all those affected by violence and their loved ones.

This page provides instructions on how to book your first maternity clinic appointment, as well as useful links.
The maternity clinic supports the health and wellbeing of expectant mothers, foetuses and newborn babies. You will have approximately 12 appointments with a nurse or doctor during your pregnancy.
Family coaching aims to prepare you and your family for childbirth, parenthood and childcare. The service is intended for first-time mothers and parents expecting their first child.
If you are diagnosed with gestational diabetes, your nurse will direct you to a gestational diabetes group. In the group, you will learn to measure your blood glucose level and adjust your diet.
We will discuss your childbirth experience, recovery, mood and health with you.
Our other services
We offer pregnant women physiotherapy in family coaching groups and private appointments, when necessary.
If you or your partner is expecting your first child, you can book an appointment with a dental hygienist.
